Conventions of a Pop Magazine Double Page Spread

Double page spreads all use similar conventions too, some of these include;

• Image - this is always of the person featured in the article and is normally quite large
• Title - this can be placed anywhere on the page and is always eye-catching
• Quote - this can be more than one and is an interesting piece of the article so the reader can grab a glimpse of what the article is about
• Columns - all double page spreads are in columns, this is so that the reader is not confused and can follow the article correctly 
• Sell line
• Interview
• Highlighting
• A three-part colour scheme
• Plain background
• Page number(s)
• Typography
