Genre

POP

Genre is a category of artistic composition, as in music or literature, characterized by similarities in form, style or subject matter. 

This is an example of a pop magazine front cover. Some of the features it includes are, bright and girly colours, bursts, banners. 

Here is an example of a rock magazine. It uses darker colours mainly and has similar features as the pop magazine does.

Vibe is an example of a current hip-hop music magazine. It typically uses less conventions than a pop or rock magazine and the colours are quite simple.

Indie music magazines use a quite similar layout as the hip-hop and rock mags do. 

I have decided to create a pop music magazine.
